Honestly I love this garden centre so much. It’s what every local business should be - locally run, kind friendly people that really know their stuff and go out of their way to help you and educate you and what you’re buying. Not to mention wonderful plants and everything you need. Thank you so much and especially to Imogen who helped me choose this plant today!

Price are not very competitive, but lots of choices and nice product.

A hidden gem in South London I travelled especially for. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. I am sorry I didn't get their names but two ladies helped diagnose and give tips on my plants I was worried were headed to an early grave! Very reassuring and informed. My aloe vera propagation has gone smoothly, fingers crossed.
As well as this, the prices are far more reasonable than other garden centres in the surrounding area.
The Secret Garden Centre's website is also really well designed and handy to use, especially as they provide a handy map and list the nearest stations and bus stops. I can imagine this is useful for older customers and people like me looking to reduce smartphone dependency. They list information about their suppliers as well as history of the garden centre. Their transparency is a testament to their trustworthy nature.
I also appreciate that out of several garden centres I have been to lately, they're the only ones without hideous generated AI posters. Considering how gardening is so dependent on the climate I am surprised so many seem to be using it willy nilly...
It's clear the staff here care greatly about plants. Given the successive heatwaves and drought, they have signs up on how to care for plants in this unprecedented weather, as well as alternative plants for drought friendly gardens!
All the adult plants are in great condition which is commendable with how challenging 2026 has been for horticulturalists!

First visit today and brought 2 gymnocalyciums one with a flower and the other with 4 flower buds. Lovely condition. The cacti all looked great and a good choice

Great garden centre full of beautiful plants, great selection of flower pots and very helpful staff. Anything I need for my little garden I walk up the hill and find it in this garden centre.

Excellent array of all that you expect. Great that you can park in sainsburys next door for 3 hours free, and simply use a cart to your car with your purchases. Did not like having to wheel the cart through the shop area to a desk, than having to unload it, so they could read the products then reload - they shoukd try scanners. Also staff stand around watching me do this.. would have nice to be helped... spoilt the shop.

I love this pace. Tucked away behind a supermarket liras the secret garden centre.
With a fine selection of plants of all kind.

Well what a lovely place that was !

Just stocked up on edibles for this year and so glad we went here rather than the moody South African geezer that gaslights you into buying stuff you don’t need.

This place was super helpful, super friendly with an excellent selection at prices that don’t hurt the pocket.
It’s a really beautiful and well presented store too.
