Bhut Jolokia aka the Ghost Pepper
Certified as the world’s hottest chilli by The Guinness Book of World Records in 2007. Roughly 3x hotter than an orange Habanero and 400 x hotter than Tabasco sauce. This pepper is not to be messed with. A true Dynamite Chilli Plant!

Basket of Fire
Ideal for using fresh in dishes or to make salsa. Basket of Fire is also a great chilli to preserve and dry. The chillies start off purple in colour and change to cream, orange and finally to red. Similar to Cheyenne pepper. Tasty and ornamental. This is a great option for patio containers.

Aka Lemon Drop pepper or Aji Limon is similar in heat to the serrano pepper. Known for its sharp, fruity, and distinctly citrusy lemon flavour. They are popular in stir-fries and in yellow hot sauce.

Growing Chillis in UK Gardens
- Place in a sunny and sheltered spot.
- Grow in moist but free-draining soil such as Sylvagrow Peat-free Multi-purpose compost.
- Once flowers appear, feed regularly with tomato fertiliser.
- Once the fruits have formed, water the plants when they have almost completely dried out. This will increase their heat.
- More sunshine = More heat!
